Nomination and Election Dates
N O M I N A T I O N Date: Saturday, June 28, 2025
Nomination papers (Form 4) and Candidate Financial Information (Form 5), properly completed, must be brought to the Summer Village Office in Ma-Me-O Beach between the hours of 10 am and 2 pm on Nomination Day. The Summer Village Office is located at 605-2nd Avenue Ma-Me-O Beach, on Highway 13A next door to the public library. Form 3 Notice of Nomination Day SignedN O T I C E of Intent to Run
Candidates intending to run must notify the Returning Officer via email at pigeonlakeelections@gmail.com with the Notice of Intent Form. Note that this form must be signed by a Commissioner of Oaths in the Province of Alberta.
Once confirmed by the Returning Officer, the names of the candidates will be included on the Register of Candidates and posted on the Summer Village website (www. crystalsprings.ca) in accordance with the Local Authorities Election Act..(LAEA)
Candidates can begin accepting campaign contributions and incurring expenses ONLY AFTER the Notice of Intent is completed and submitted (LAEA Sec. 147.3). If the candidate will not be accepting donations, the Notice of Intent can be filed on Nomination Day, along with Form 4 Nomination and Candidate’s Acceptance.
Note: the Notice of Intent is a new requirement under the legislation and differs from the nomination process.
M U N I C I P A L ELECTION: Saturday, July 26, 2025
The polling station will be at the Ma-Me-O Beach Community Hall (615-2nd Avenue, Ma-Me-O Beach) with voting to be held between the hours of 10 am and 7 pm.

Financial Information form must be submitted before the candidate collects any campaign funds. If no campaign funds are collected, the form should be submitted with the Notice of Intent or with the Nomination papers. The form should indicate that campaign funds were not collected.
