Summer Update and 2024 Annual Report

Hello Crystal Spring Residents…looks like the start to summer is finally upon us!

  • ANNUAL REPORT: This year council has taken a different approach to get our annual information to its residents . Instead of a meeting at  the park we have developed an annual report and along with the information residents desire, we have included many pictures of our lake community. Our desire is to reach as many as we can and to show in pictures how great our community is.  Thank you to those that submitted photos and should you have any questions  you may speak to any council member. It is attached to this email and please take a few minutes to open it and enjoy.
  • YOUTH OPPORTUNITY: The Summer Village along with the RCMP will be sponsoring a traffic information session in partnership with local youth on Aug 3rd. If your child would like to participate, see the inside of cruisers and assist officers by giving drivers a printed message of traffic safety – while enjoying an ice cream treat at the Day Park – stay tuned. More information as to how to participate will be sent to you shortly.
  • BOAT LAUNCH: The bottom has been dredged and large concrete slabs installed to 32 ft in length and 21 ft wide. End markers are still to be inserted, however the water is low so we urge extreme caution.
  • ENTRANCE GARDEN: We hope you have noticed the completely rebuilt East entrance garden and the awesome flowers at the West entrance. All thanks to project lead Wayne Bateman, supported by Lindsay Jones, Eric Seneca, Dave Seiver and others.
  • WATER GARDEN: Work begins this week on the PLWA demonstration run off garden at the daypark. This initiative, funded by the PLWA ,will serve as a demonstration on good landscape practices for residents while also filtering runoff into our lake. Thank you for your patience as this construction begins and thank you to residents  Annalee Butterwick and  Michell Cole for managing this project. We will be asking for volunteers for planting once initial work has been completed.

We hope you enjoy the 2024 ANNUAL REPORT

Cheers,

Ian
